Join ABCB First Aid for a Week Long Kids Camp!

Ages 9-12

Ages 12-15.

Location: 324 Terminal Ave, Nanaimo, BC

The camps will include our most popular Red Cross Standard First Aid Class spread out over a week and will include visits to the Nanaimo Museum to learn about local plants and history, walks to nearby Maffeo Sutton Park and empathy sessions with a variety of animal ambassadors focussing on safety with pets and wildlife.

Standard First Aid covers a variety of topics from basic first aid such as cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level C (adult, child and infant), choking, airway and breathing emergencies, bleeding control, and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine.

The camps are available with a maximum of 12 students per camp with 1 instructor full time and one part time instructor. Camp begins at 9am and is over at 3pm each day. Please bring a bagged lunch and snacks, a water bottle and clothing appropriate for the weather each day.

Campers are expected to be able to participate in classroom-style learning about first aid topics and participate in first aid drills and travel on foot to various locations respectfully and safely.

A 3-year Certificate is issued by Red Cross upon successful completion.
