First Responder





Comprehensive first aid and CPR skills for professional first responders or those training to become first responders. The course teaches the patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and care for a variety of acute and chronic conditions. This includes how to assess Infants, Children, Seniors, and Pregnant woman. Participants will be engaged in dynamic training techniques including video, media presentations, skills demonstrations, practice sessions, discussions and scenarios based on real-life situations. Great for anyone working in fire services, rescue teams, workplace response teams, sports medicine professionals, lifeguards, and ski patrol.

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

A minimum mark of 75% is needed on the written closed book exam and successful completion of two evaluated scenarios (one medical and one trauma) as well as 100% attendance and participation of the course

A 3-year Certificates is issued by Red Cross upon successful completion.

Participants are eligible to write an EMA licensing exam with ABCB First Aid, upon completion of this course. *exam dates will be determined in class

1) Payment is due upon registration. Cancellations must be received by ABCB First Aid & Safety Training two full business days prior to the start of the course to receive a refund of the course fee paid. A full refund is dependent on the student returning any textbooks which are received in a usable/saleable condition, otherwise, a deduction will be made for textbooks.
2) For cancellations received less than two business days prior to the start of the course, no refund will be issued. ABCB may, at its sole discretion, apply the course fee amount paid to a future course.
3) For courses canceled by ABCB for any reason, a full refund of all course fees will be made subject to the student returning the course textbook
