OFA Level 3





This WorkSafeBC Level 3 First Aid is a 70-hour first aid course designed with the rural or attendant in industry in mind. A prerequisite for employment with the BC Ambulance Service, many ski patrols and some Fire/Police Departments. Covers the basics of airways, breathing and circulation – includes how to deal with obstructed airways, breathing distress, bleeding control, Shock and one and two person CPR. In addition, continuing patient assessment, hard collar application, securing a patient to a spine board, upper and lower limb splinting and minor wound care are covered. Completion of records and reports are an integral part of the course.

First Aid Level 3 First Aid Course fees include textbooks and exam.

Monday to Friday  8 am to 4 pm

Written and practical exams are required after the course is completed. A minimum mark of 70% is required, on both the written and practical exams, to successfully complete the Level 3 First aid course.

3-year Level 3 First Aid certificate will be issued on successful completion.

1) Payment is due upon registration. Cancellations must be received by ABCB First Aid Training two full business days prior to the start of the course to receive a refund of the course fee paid. A full refund is dependent on the student returning any textbooks which are received in a usable/saleable condition, otherwise a deduction will be made for textbooks.
2) For cancellations received less than two full business days prior to the start of the course, no refund will be issued. ABCB may, at its sole discretion, apply the course fee amount paid to a future course.
3) For courses cancelled by ABCB for any reason, a full refund of all course fees will be made subject to the student returning the course textbook
