The OFA Level 3 First Aid Exam Challenge is a 2-day course designed to sign you off for your 3-year WorkSafeBC OFA level 3 ticket. The prerequisites for this course are a OFA Level 3 certificate that is still current/valid within the past 6 months, and a CPR-A or higher certificate that has been taken within the past 6 months. This class is ideal for people who have had many years experience in level 3 First aid, we recommended taking the full OFA Level 3 course at least three times before signing up for the exam challenge. Written and practical exams are required. A minimum mark of 70% is required, on both the written and practical exams, to successfully complete the Level 3 First Aid Exam Challenge A 3-year Level 3 First Aid certificate will be issued on successful completion. OFA L3 Exam Challenge$450.00
Transportation Endorsement is a one day/8 hour add-on course of OFA Level 1 and 2 attendants. This course covers hard collar application and securing (immobilizing) a patient on the spine board in preparation for transport. Prerequisite is a valid OFA Level 1 or 2 certificate. Valid for 3 years or until the expiry of the OFA Level 1 or 2 certificate. Transportation Endorsement Certificates are issued at the end of the course upon successful completion.
5-day course To be an instructor of WorkSafeBC OFA Level 1, an instructor Candidate must:
- Be at least 18 years of age prior to instructor training,
- Hold a current/valid Standard First Aid Certificate or higher for a minimum of at least one year,
- Complete a WorkSafeBC Jurisprudence Package if the jurisprudence content is not included in the initial instructor training course. Evidence of completion must be included in the instructor Candidate’s training file,
- Have been employed as a designated OFA Attendant or first aid responder (at a Standard First Aid level or higher) for at least one year

Level 1 First aid is a one day/7-hour course covering the essential ABC's -- airway breathing and circulation. How to deal with obstructive airways, breathing distress and control bleeding. One person CPR, minor wound care and records/reports are also part of the course. A 3-year certificate will be issued at the end of the Level 1 course upon successful completion. This hands-on and interactive one day Level 1 course teaches workers how to deal with the most common occupational first-aid emergencies. First Aid Level 2 is a 35-hour first aid course primarily designed for the urban first aid attendant but is applicable whenever the WorkSafeBC Regulations require certification to the OFA 2 Level. First Aid Level 2 covers the basics of airway, breathing and circulation which includes how to deal with obstructed airways, breathing distress, bleeding control, Shock and one person CPR. In addition, patient assessment, upper limb splinting and minor wound care are covered. Course fees include textbooks and exam. Written and practical exams are required after the course is completed. A minimum mark of 70% is required, on both the written and practical exams, to successfully complete the course. A 3 year certificate will be issued on successful completion for First Aid level 2.

This WorkSafeBC Level 3 First Aid is a 70-hour first aid course designed with the rural or attendant in industry in mind. A prerequisite for employment with the BC Ambulance Service, many ski patrols and some Fire/Police Departments. Covers the basics of airways, breathing and circulation - includes how to deal with obstructed airways, breathing distress, bleeding control, Shock and one and two person CPR. In addition, continuing patient assessment, hard collar application, securing a patient to a spine board, upper and lower limb splinting and minor wound care are covered. Completion of records and reports are an integral part of the course. First Aid Level 3 First Aid Course fees include textbooks and exam. Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm Written and practical exams are required after the course is completed. A minimum mark of 70% is required, on both the written and practical exams, to successfully complete the Level 3 First aid course. A 3-year Level 3 First Aid certificate will be issued on successful completion.

Level 3 first aid re-certification is a five day 35-hour course designed to help you maintain and refresh your knowledge of WorkSafeBC OFA level 3 first aid. The first three days will be a refresher on material as well as covering any new standards that are relevant to level 3 first aid. The last two days will be designated towards the written and practical exam. The prerequisite for this course is a OFA Level 3 certificate that is current/valid within the past 6 months. This class is ideal for people who have had many years experience in level 3 First aid, we recommended taking the full OFA Level 3 course at least twice before signing up for the re-certification class. First Aid Level 3 re-certification course fee includes textbooks and exam fee Written and practical exams are required. A 2-hour program designed to meet the training and continuing education requirements of first responders, divers and the general public. This program can be modified to meet the needs of emergency care providers who may be required to manage patients in the pre-hospital setting. The objectives are to establish and provide guidelines in the application and use of oxygen and related delivery systems in emergency patient care situations. Skills and competence are acquired through theoretical and practical components. A 2 year certificate will be issued on successful completion.
